Module 1 - Introduction to the Artifical Intelligence and Desing Thinking

Imagen
AI stands at the forefront, reshaping industries, revolutionizing processes, and challenging our understanding of what's possible. In module one, the basic concept of AI was revealed, as well as the brief history of artificial intelligence. On the other hand, there were many thoughts related to the module since many of us only knew about the term "artificial intelligence" to know, but we did not know anything about how it started, how to use it, and so on. When we hear the term "artificial intelligence," many of us conjure up images from science fiction: sentient robots, super-intelligent computers, and machines capable of surpassing human capabilities in every domain. However, the reality of AI is often quite different from these fantastical depictions. Furthermore, there may have been concerns and fears about the potential implications of AI about whether we are going to develop this correctly, but the most important is to make it.

Reflection

Here we talk about two very important concepts that are: Hallucinations Design Thinking. To begin, we will emphasize point number one. Hallucinations in artificial intelligence pose a fascinating and often overlooked aspect of AI research and development. A hallucination in AI refers to the generation of sensory experiences or perceptions that are not rooted in external reality. These can manifest in various forms, from visual illusions in image recognition systems to nonsensical output in natural language processing models. While such occurrences may initially seem like glitches or errors, they offer valuable insights into the inner workings of AI algorithms and the complexities of neural network architectures. Moreover, hallucinations in AI highlight the inherent limitations and biases present in machine learning algorithms. Just as human perception can be influenced by prior experiences and cultural contexts, AI systems are susceptible to encoding and reproducing societal biases pre

Conclusion and key learnings

Imagen
Everything is really impressive due to the fact that everything learned is new and in one way or another, some applications help to facilitate work and time. For example, learning to make a lesson plan in copilot, being able to create PowerPoint Presentations and etc. However, something very significant is being able to create Lesson Plan since it will give us ideas of what to do when we have no idea or we think we have exhausted our tools. It is definitely great to be able to learn from a new world such as artificial intelligence and even more applied to education, to be able to be innovative and go out of the ordinary in teaching. In conclusion, artificial intelligence represents a transformative force with vast potential to revolutionize industries, enhance efficiencies, and tackle complex problems. As AI continues to advance, it is imperative to prioritize ethical considerations, ensure transparency, and foster collaboration between humans and machines to harness its benefits respo

Module 2 - Artificial Intelligence to Enhace Students' English Skills

Imagen
AI in ELT What is AI in English language teaching? AI in English language teaching, also known as AI-ELT, refers to the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to support English language instruction. The goal is to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and personalization of language learning by automating certain tasks, providing feedback, and offering adaptive learning experiences. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to significantly enhance students' English skills by providing personalized learning experiences, improving language proficiency, and increasing student engagement. Key applications of AI in English language teaching: Personalized Learning Paths: AI can analyze a student's language level, learning style, and goals to create customized learning paths that cater to their individual needs. Interactive Language Practice: AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can engage students in conversations, provide instant feedback, an

Module 3 - Creating Effective Lesson Plans with AI and Design Thinking

Using General Generative AI to Create Lesson Plans What is ChatGPT? ChatGPT is a conversational AI model developed by Meta AI that can understand and respond to human input in a conversational manner. It is a type of large language model that uses deep learning algorithms to generate human-like text based on the input it receives. How it works? 1. The user types a prompt or question into the chat interface. 2. The AI model processes the input and generates a response based on its training data. 3. The response is then sent back to the user, who can respond with further questions or prompts. 4. The conversation continues in this manner, with the AI model adapting to the user's input and responding accordingly. Advantages: 1. Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities:  ChatGPT has been trained on a massive dataset of text and can understand nuances of language, such as context, tone, and intent. 2. Conversational ability:  ChatGPT can engage in natural-sounding conversations, ma
